Lockdown

Lockdown has been a very interesting experience with lots of lows and highs. It's not something I ever want to go through again, and I hope people will not all rush back out trying to get back to normality too quickly and ruin all the effort we have all put in. The Climbing Works remains shut, but there is a glimmer of hope that we might reopen at the start of July providing there is not another spike in covid19 infections... We shall wait and see.

Meanwhile, I seem to be busier than ever. Having both kids at home until September certainly changes how much spare time I have, but we are still managing to get some work done between home schooling, exercising, running an expanding smallholding, and doing all the other things that always need doing.

Climbing wall closures have given some businesses the opportunity to do building work, and I have been lucky enough to be involved in building 2 new climbing walls over the last month or so. (Hover your cursor over the photo for more information)

I have also managed to squeeze in my promise to my wife to build her a summer house before the end of May - I hadn't banked on the Coronavirus when I made my promise, but I managed any way (just!). I haven't got a picture of this yet, but I'll post one at some point.

Apart from this, and a couple of commission pieces for people, I have had very little time in the workshop. When I do find a spare hour or two, the place seems littered with almost finished pieces that never quite manage to get done - some pictures below!
